10th MAY | 18.00 – 21:45 let your BODY SPEAK
~ thai yoga massage workshop w/ holistic approach

Thai massage is a deep healing practice, meditation in motion, considered as a sacred dance. We practice principals of presence, attention and intention and the most importantly: sharing METTA – loving kindness. All in. Thai massage is a deep healing practice, meditation in motion, considered as a sacred dance. We practice principals of presence, attention and intention and the most importantly: sharing METTA – loving kindness. All in meditative state. This practice is much more contact than ‘classical’ massage; thai massage is practiced on the floor (futon), with clothes and no oil. Thai massage introduces dynamic rocking techniques, deep longer pressure, general relaxation and ease – helping the body to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest&digest state).

With Nica’s degree in psychology and more than a decade of experience teaching yoga, this workshop will be blend of different fields, bringing holistic point of view into thai massage practice. In this workshop, we will explore some areas as: ~ theory in practice: different approaches (meridians, chakra & yoga system, psychology) and how it applies in thai massage

~ you will learn principals of touch & short thai massage sequences according to different psychological themes (safety, boundaries..) and how our body communicates them

*suitable for everyone who is interested in bodywork or just want to share and receive conscious & loving touch

 11th MAY | 13.15 – 14.45 MODERN ASHTANGA led primary series
~ accessible primary series with tunes

Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is a deep profound system; basically yoga philosophy manifested on the yoga mat. There are 4 main fundamentals practiced along the asana: ujjayi breath, drishti (gaze), bandhas (energetic seals) and vinyasa as a sacred space for our practice. Ashtanga vinyasa yoga, as we know it nowadays, is a set sequence of asanas, always repeated in the same order. Always with a different experience.

Some consider this practice one of the most challenging ones. There is many intermediate to advanced postures; and that’s where the magic happens – can we practice without attachment to the outcome? Can practice acceptance to where our body is today? Can we feel content no matter how the practice goes? Can we be patient, compassionate and grateful even if the practice challenges us?

For past 6 months, Nica had been teaching 200 & 300hrs ashtanga vinyasa, vinyasa flow and yin yoga teacher trainings in India and Spain. In this 90’ led primary series class, Nica will guide everyone through; no matter if you are new or already have established practice. There is many modifications, variations, props and hands on assist how to get through this sequence.

We will bring a bit of modern approach into this traditional deep system; let’s move with the rhythm of music, experiencing what the body is capable of, letting the magic of yoga IN!

~ we will explore traditional ashtanga primary series;
~ with accessible modifications
~ longer holds & softer pace
~ respectful to your body; start from where you are
~ breathing & moving into the beats of music

*suitable for everyone, but experience with primary series is advantage
**you can join the workshops separately | or with a discount if you join both

 11th MAY | 15.15 – 19.00 ASANA CLINIC + HANDS ON ADJUSTMENT workshop
~ practitioners: deepen your practice / teachers: learn the art of assisting

In regular drop-in classes, there is not much time to focus on alignment and proper explanation of asanas itself.

Nica is teaching yoga for past decade with more than 1000+ hours of certified trainings, for past 6 months training also new yoga teachers to become. With her background in thai massage therapy: the approach, quality of touch, directions of assisting and knowledge how to adjust will all translate into this workshop.

We will break down (mainly postures which are mutual for both; ashtanga vinyasa & vinyasa flow) asanas step by step for its better understanding and deepening your practice. We will focus on mechanics of basic asanas like downward facing dog but also drills for jump through, transitioning in ashtanga primary series, feet position in forward folds, entrance to lotus pose, correct mechanics of backward bends & much more.

*Suitable for both STUDENTS and TEACHERS; students will gain better asana alignment understanding, teachers will learn how to assist in those asanas.

**you can join the workshops separately | or with a discount if you join both

 29th MAY | 18.00 – 21.45 additional YIN ‘TRAINING’ (teachers only)
~ theoretical support for YIN teachers

Yin yoga is considered quite a modern and new yoga style; but actually, we will learn that yin practice come from Taoism – and as well as this philosophy, also breath techniques, mindfulness and longer stretches are here for already thousands of year. Only there was not such a spotlight on them.

As attractive as it might be to teach this yoga style, not many trainings focus on theoretical background; which is very important, because it’s quite different (although very parallel) to actual yoga philosophy and teaching methodology of Yang styles.

This training will be mainly theoretical and is only for already certified yoga teachers.

For those who:
~ have done yin training and want to recap
~ are coming from YANG teaching background and by ‘coincidence’ started teaching YIN, but lacking more understanding
~ considering doing certified yin training but would love little bit of insight ahead

What we will discuss:
~ where is yin coming
~ basic meridian theory
~ yin principals + qualities,
~ how to handle new students in class + emotions
~ sequencing, props, support, theming
~ additional techniques as tapping or somatic exercises & more.

* This training is NOT certified.

With Love,

Nica
